That was a nice match and nice commentary. Reception was pretty good on TVU. Both Denis and Steve Davis made it through.

Yes....

Does Orcollo have to win to make it through?

Dennis had to win, and Steve needed 7 games for both to make it, no downplay here though, they took it all the way to the wire. Great pressure play by Orcollo last couple of games.

It was a suspenseful match. I went home for my lunch break just to see it.

You have to feel bad for Nguyen. Dennis winning by the score 8-7 is the ONLY outcome that would result in him going home.

congratulations to dennis and steve for making it thru to the next round! and great commentating by jay and jerry, too!

great game!

i stayed up late til 2 am (manila time) just to watch that game. it was a great game indeed. both players maximized the soft break thus they had to play defensively often. dennis is very aggressive. he's willing to take on any kind of shot. he made a some misses but i think overall his pocketing is still impressive. yet he's not stubbornly aggressive that he can engage in a safety battle when necessary.

there was also some smooth pocketing shown by steve. however, sometimes he did not have the best of kick outs and safeties. steve is always entertaining.

dennis will be facing efren in his next match. though i've always been a big efren fan i think dennis has the slight edge in this match. that is judging from their performances thus far and having heard that dennis had lorded over efren in big money games.
