Misses bridge shot at 6-3

His nextt break too soft
Next break too soft
Next break scratch
Next break illegal. Only two balls past the side pockets.

These missed breaks could've won him the tournament. Very unfortunate.
Best of luck to him in the future.

That's a good observation for those that think the break or game needs to be changed.

I didn't understand why Orcullo changed to the soft break and then it got even softer. It was almost like he didn't want to take a chance on leaving Shane wide open racks of he he didn't make a ball.

It was kind of strange. As Orcollo's break got softer, Shane started hitting them harder.

is worth mentioning that the rack ultimately might have cost him as it was all but predicted

having said that Shane adjusted and he didnt

I dont get it????

I didn't understand it??? His hard break is top notch, yet he went away from it, strange.
I think if he could do it over he would have stuck with the hard break.

It seems his brain got a weird signal from his master controller! he has been breaking flawlessly with Mike D, Nick, and first 6 games with SVB, all of a sudden he is shutdown! amazing! the big one him scratching directly without touching any ball, i do not recall seeing this from him before! i guess missing that 6 ball did it!!!or other reasons who knows!

I think it was Shane's break that bothered him...maybe he realized he couldn't match the
purity of SVB's speed and accuracy.

I've seen it at golf where a long ball hitter plays a man who hit's them longer......
.....and his tee shots goes all to hell.

Shane has done a lot of work on his break....he deserves his success.
Earl had a time in the middle 90s when he was breaking 4 hours a day....
...and he got rewarded also.

I fully agree with you, Stevie. Here's just a little more information about Dennis' last 4 breaks. Dennis held a 7-5 lead after Game 12.

Game 13. Both dry and illegal. Shane had a shot on the 1-ball, so he did not pass it back to Dennis. Shane ran out after the two-bridges jump shot on the 2-ball.

Game 16. Dry. Shane ran out.

Game 20. Scratch in the side and dry. Shane ran out.

Game 23. Wet (1-ball) but illegal. Shane had a shot on the 2-ball, so he did not pass it back to Dennis. Shane ran out.

So Dennis' last 4 breaks were of great significance to the outcome of the match.
