Original Balabushka for sale on Ebay

hello mike the greek (aka ebay)
for the amount of 12,500.00 you could have a higher degree of professionalism.

have you considered "cornerstone custom cues".

they serve high end clients as you all the time with mutual benefit.
i personally have used their service and strongly recommend.

good luck with your sale.

Wow... Saw pics and good feedback on ebay.
Think this one would need a escrow though or
the use of one of the hi end reputable sellers or
maybe even one of the main hi end antique
auction houses... Very interesting... and a COA
letter from Pete... Nice... 12.5k BIN would be
IMHO a steal if escrow gave it two thumbs up.

I think I saw this "same cue" at this website:

If this is legit the buyer will get a great deal on a VERY hard to acquire cue....

For the 900 in fees ebay will take you could easily pay an escrow and pocket 600.

Just a beautiful cue. Somebody will snatch this up.

Keep in mind that it has been to my knowledge re-done with a Burton Spain forearm, which is not to say that's a bad thing. Just know that GB generally used a Titlist forearm.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...

"re-done" is an interesting thing to say. As if a bushka with a Spain blank cannot be original? What do you mean re-done? What exactly is 'your knowledge' of this cue?

Just looking for clarity on this cues condition.

My bad... Sorry... I read the description wrong on the actual website I listed ( not ebay)
Read about the forearm to quickly ... Mentioned the Burton Spain versus the Titlist...

As I said in my post, correct me if I'm wrong....although Pete's letter does say the
cue has been refinished by unknown....

This is a primo-gorgeous example...believe this cue was in our booth at the SBE. Did Joe sell it to you?

I also just noticed Pete's letter says refinished by unknown
but website describes as refinished by Pete... At least at this
moment in time.... Just getting clarity as a bit confusing...

Quote from the website currently at this moment
in time... http://www.sloezenbilliards.com/2.html

"This cue is a Burton Spain Forearm; not the Titlist forearms that George generally used. The cue has been authenticated by Pete Tascarella. The cue has been refinished by Pete Tascarella. The wrap remains original. The cue rolls straight and comes with two straight original shafts reconditioned. In the butt sleeve is the gold tone rings, diamond and dot mop inlays in a zigzag pattern. The points are ebony and veneered and sharp."

Originally got it from Joe via some trades. He had it to see if he could sell it for me.

Thanks for the pm and clarity... Understand you're the new owner now and maybe should have it removed from the other site to avoid some confusion. Wish you the best of luck with the sale. It's a beauty !

Not a Balabushka expert by any means. That being said I have seen a good number of GB cues and this one looks all wrong to me. Rings are in a configuration I have not seen before, handle looks newer. butt plate has a strange ring on it that i have never seen before. Most notably the craftsmanship is sub par to George.

Needs to get appraised by Mr. T.
