I purchased this cue from John Wright in early 1997. (Some of the old timers may remember him- no longer with us.) It was built in the mid-late 1960's. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Pete Tascarella..
It features an original black leather wrap which is very rare. Has (3) shafts with Ivory Ferrules. It is in near perfect, museum quality condition. Maybe one of the best Balabushka cues in existence and on the open market.
Check out Banking with the Beard.com, Vintage Video #3' Irving Crane runs 150 and out. Irving uses the same type of cue, maybe this cue, I don't know. Dan Gronich has an Irving Crane cue that was featured on the cover of Blue Book of Pool Cues, second edition. It had Crane's name on it, (2) shafts but was never used by Crane. This one was used and maybe by Crane himself. Take a look at the video and it looks to be the same cue. George Balabushka very rarely did leather wraps.
For those that want the best and a piece of history, the price is $27,500.00
For additional information, email me at office@cjscpa.com.I will email Certificate of Authenticity upon request. Too big a file to attach.
Thanks for looking.
