I pretty sure the originals we're not individually packaged like these...they were sold "raw" in a tin can

In 1991, when I first started buying "Moori" tips from a source I won't disclose, I was paying $100.00 for a 50 tip tin! These were the BEST tips I have ever played, NEVER needed shaping and held the chalk perfectly! When I stopped purchasing them, 7 years later, I was paying $500.00 a tin and selling them to many. many cue makers for any where's from $750.00 - $1,000.00 a tin! And couldn't get enough of them, that;s why I stopped.

My understanding was that the Moori name was sold off to another manufacturer. If that is the case, how can Mr. Moori continue to make tips?

Edited to add: So after reading Joe's article the real Moori's are 8 layer and the fakes are 9 layer.

Are the one's for sale here the real 8 layer tips??

I'm confused.......

I must really not understand it? From the article it said that Mr Morri didn't make
them. Unless I'm really missing something, my question is, did Mr Morri make
these tips or no?Thanks
 
i bought a lot of them... and they are the real deal....

if you don't want it, just don't buy it.. simple as that... i think...
