Any updates? All eyes on Ortmann...

In another thread someone said even if Ortmann wins this match and his subsequent match against Reyes, the latter would still get through and face Rodney based on winning percentages. Could anyone confirm this information???

Mika wins 8-4 i believe.

Has anyone who's watched Ortmann-Orcullo earlier noticed that Ortmann plays better patterns than all of these guys with the possible exception of Reyes?

I marvelled at how correct his shot selection seemed to be and I think the only guys that match that in the world today may be, predictably, Souquet and Hohmann.

Whoa. I think even if Reyes loses against Ortmann next match, and Mika beat Rodney (good luck), I think Reyes gets through over Mika based on winning percentages.

It's looking like it's Reyes-Rodney in the finals. A repeat of the U.S. Open Rodney won a while ago...

Oh-oh. Now only Mika and Reyes have a chance, from what I understand.

I do not think so. IMHO, even if Mika wins his last game against Morris and Efren losses against Ortmann, it will still not be enough to offset Efren's 4% advantage winning percentage wise over Mika even though they will be tied at 3 games a piece. I believe we are headed for an Efren vs Rodney finals tomorrow.

Now, if Rodney manages to lose 8-1 or 8-0 again ;) like he did last night against Deuel, then that is another story and will lead again to a lot of speculation. Between Mika and Efren, I think he will have an easier time against Immonen.
