Oshkosh, WI The Varsity Club, April 23rd!

I'm not going to split hairs over this any more. If Jeremy wants to call me out and try to make himself clever on the internet, he can do so.
He's got my contact info and ia welcome to call me any time he wants.
I don't like him, his tournaments or his childish antics that took place on Saturday nor in this thread.
It's unfortunate I disagree with the way he handled things because I was hoping for a reason to go back the the VC. He simply gave me too many reasons to never consider it again.

I have been to The Varsity Club for many of it's Tournaments in the past couple of years. Jeremy does a great job at running the tourney besides paying out farther than most. I for one am happy to win some money rather than none. Wouldn't most people?

This was an ACS Event. They always get there money taken out before the tourney begins, $5.00 PER PLAYER. They also give away a free 9-ball singles entry for Vegas to the highest placing ACS member.

Where does a person play a good tourney without greens fees. I know I don't like to pay quarters for each game. Every tourney I've been to a tourney in the past 5 years has had greens fees...

I was there for the calcutta. Besides bidding, I stayed there for all of it. There was $1950 in the calcutta total. 47 shooters. Plus I won a little off of it

There are alot of shooters that goto The Varsity Club for there Tournaments because they are some of the best in WI! Why else would they get people from the Twin Cities and all over WI. The shooters that were happy to play, will keep coming back. I have seen many shooters that keep coming back to The Varsity Club tourney after tourney. That tells you right there that it's a good tourney to shoot in. Some of the shooters I know are picky on where they shoot. The shooters that are not happy, probably won't come back. I for one do not like the people that wine and complain about this and that. If people want a person to watch a shot, it better be for good reason. Otherwise, those people are just wasting time and trying to drag out matches.

Just because a shooter wasn't happy because something did'nt go there way. Doesn't mean they should rant and rave about it. All it shows is that the person doing it, doesn't have any class or respect.........

the post above this couldn't have been said any better!

Those who know anything about anything know that the Varsity Club is as good as it gets when it comes to pool halls...and those that disagree haven't been around much. ;)

Do we know each other? I don't believe we do. So why don't you mind your own business as to who lacks class and respect. If you did know who I was, you'd change your tune because I don't play games to draw out matches and to shark people. Jeremy doesn't hesitate to tAke 10minutes between shots at times though. Again, you don't know me and you don't know what you're talking about. Ask anyone in Wisconsin if they've ever had an issue with me in a match or otherwise. The answer will be no. This one instance doesn't give you the luxury to make a satement about my character. Especially considering it was an instance with an asshole like Randy Lamar.

I'm posting this to show others that you really do lack class and respect. You showed many people at The Varsity Club who you really are on Saturday night. By the way, I didn't mention any names. So why would you single me out in a poor attempt to make a point. Did I single you out in my post. No. I just stated the obvious on what went on that night.....

You're a waste of time. Randy lamar IS an asshole. If my saying that causes me to be lacking class and respect, so be it. The guy gets into arguements in matches as much as anybody.

Frenchie, please tell me some more about how I haven't been around the game enough to know that what Jeremy does up there is of value...
It makes me giggle.

Does that include the unneccerssary delays in between matches, with empty tables, towards the middle of the day?

I must not know why a room owner would do that. Nor would I notice it. Because I don't know anythig about anything. Shucks! Thought I did.

has anyone ever heard the whole story from randy lamar where he says after the break the cue ball came back or another ball from the rack came back to hit the shooters cue. i have seen this happen once and it was an actual fact where the cue ball hit the cue again. but the three other times that i have seen him try this antic was total bs. but people give in cause of his persistant attitude and dont want to put up with his shit.

so perhaps joes attempt at a shark wasnt really a shark at all. maybe he just didnt want to hear the good old line of (no ref no foul) im sure randy has used that one more than once. just saying.

so in my opinion i think if one player wants a hit watched then it must be watched. if it then becomes a problem there after maybe something should be done about it. but for a first incident shouldnt be a problem.

i also dont think the shot at hand needed to be watched up close stareing from the edge of the table, but from a far but thats not possible when the director refueses and walks away.

many things could have been changed from this whole experience. but what wasnt changed can be learned from i suppose.

last but not least. do i like jeremys tourneys??? yes i like them very much. do i like driving there??? hell no lol a 3 hour drive is just too damn far.
will i make the drive again??? of coarse if the outside factors are in favor of it.

also the second last but not least. randy did get out that rack and made a pretty good shot to do so.

ok i dont like to watch myself type so im done.

take care all

Can someone please tell me who the highest placing acs member was?

Jbravo

jeremy's tourney is identical to dave's. 35 and 35, 5 goes to acs, nothing you can do about that, maybe you'll pony up a 1000 of your own and show him what a great tourny director you r. If not, do everybody a favor a zip it. better yet just stop playing pool period, it sounds like it's beneath you. if the extra 5 was to much my 4 yr son said he'll lend you some money. have a nice life, Tom McCluskey

Tom who asked you?
You weren't there. How are you going to tell me that I gave Jeremy $35 not $40 for the entry fee this weekend?
When you're relevant in pool, I'll consider your opinion. Until then, don't bother.
Meanwhile, lets not point fingers as to who is a nit...

didn't say you gave him 35. when you attack someone who supports pool be prepared to face the firing squad. as for me being relevent, well u just keep grinding out those 5/6 finishes. maybe someday, if i'm lucky, i can play like you and be relevent!

I don't support pool Tom? Pool supports him! I drove 180 miles to HIS tournament. He didn't bring the tournament to me. Pool supports him. Don't get it twisted.

Maybe someday, if you're lucky, you can maintain a calm demeanor while you shoot balls straight into the rail. Because the last time we played in a tournament, you lacked composure. It was embarrassing.
You may be more talented then me, but I could spot you the last 5 in class at the pool table. A player of your speed should be able to maintain his composure better. When you can do that, if I'm lucky, I'll hope to play like you. Until then, I'm glad I don't.

yes , my temper does get the best of me at times, no denying that. but you must have a memory block, i seem to remember u cracking under the pressure and pissing and moaning. the difference is i can admit it, your still in denial. every tourny i go to,that your at ,you seem to have some pour soul trapped in a conversation about how you got screwed somehow. your not important enough to want to screw over, it's to bad you think u are.

Really? Becuase I'm pretty sure I finished ahead of him...

That's what I saw on the Lucasi facebook page.

Why would you want to go anyways? Don't they play on Valley's? Obviously that's a negative for you since you complained about Jeremy having them at The Varsity Club for one tournament. Just sayin.

I was the top ACS finisher according to the John Lewis.
Just got off the phone with him.
Seems like a great guy.
I would love to go. But I can't afford to.
The difference would be that if they do play on valleys, they would ALL be valleys :) OH! They'd probably be level too!

Just to clarify, it was that a tournament was being held on 2 different types of tables. Not that he had Valleys there. But that he had some of us play on diamonds all day long, then he said go play on the three tables we slapped together last night... EVERYBODY who played on them that day had complaints about them. Not just me. Don't villify me for being the sole voice of those who complained that day.

BTW, I'm not from Rockford and good luck to Roy S. with my spot ;)

Please remind me of some of those instances you're refering to where I complained non-stop about a tourney you and I were both at.
Seems like i'm important enough to waste poor grammar and a lot of memory on.... why wouldn't someone want to screw me over? You seemed to think you could when you played me for $50 a game... how'd that work out for ya? I thought you and I were cool Tom... apparently not. Apparently you need to get out of the house more because it seems that with the thousands of posts on here that I'm tied to, you only have negative things to say...

I would like to see this thread end. I'm thankful to all who responded and for the positive comments that many have posted here concerning me and my pool hall. I do consider myself a pool supporter and would like to see the sport grow. I take things personally when they are said about my business. I do this because I have worked very hard to build my business. I try my best to be on the correct side of situations but I occasionally say or do something that I wish later I could have handled differently.

Pat Hall - You are a class act and I am thankful for your comment.

This thread shows some of the negative aspects of the sport. I don't want the focus to be on that. Besides one incident, the tournament was a success. A very strong field filled with up and coming players and many players from years past. I looked around the pool hall on Saturday and I saw so many people that I considered my friends. I really enjoyed the day.

Joe - I don't believe we will ever be friends but we can stop bashing each other. I will do so on my end. When I see you next time I will refund you your money for the tourney. I may sometime take you up on matching up. I gotta get some practice in first. For me it wouldn't be a personal thing, just action.

Once again thanks for the support from my friends.

Thanks - Jeremy
