Seems a bit too much like whining to me. The word "spoiled" comes to mind.
There is some discussion of changing ranks based on points assigned to various events to ranking based on money won.
Ronnie is grumping primarily about the Players Tour Championship which has low prize money, heavy travel expenses the UK players are unaccustomed to, and a random draw. Ronnie may get to meet the upper echelon in the first round - and lose - No Points, and he has been sliding down the rankings because he has been refusing to compete in many tournaments.
Had Ronnie done better, he could, like Ding Junhui, ignore the PTC.
