Real Name: Johnny Jacobs
For those who don't know Shorty, he is truly a living legend and was also one of the first real pool hustlers I ever met when I was 18 years old at, the now closed down, Hollywood Billiards. Shorty was a mentor to me in the pool room in the early 80's but I lost touch over 20 years ago.

Cole Dickson, Bucktooth, Minnesota Fats and many other greats, either couldn't beat him or were afraid to try!

Suddenly, Shorty showed up in my life about 8 months ago. Shorty's life is nothing short of a miracle, surviving drugs and alcohol with over 37 years sober, playing the best in the world for huge money, road player and pool hustler - He deserves an honorary place in the Encyclopedia of Pool Hustlers, but never made it.

Enjoyed it. Would like to know his early experiences and influences. He was pointed out to me in Texas one time and I think I was told he was from NY. Ok, I'm listening to this as I'm writing and just got to the part where he talks about playing as a kid in NY.
It's great to get his story recorded. Would like to hear more.
