Out and around for a couple months let’s get it 💯

Head to Snookers in RI, Amazin Billiards in MA and Yale in CT, those are the places where the gamblers tend to hang out in the New England states. Amazin also has a 12ft snooker table and a few 3C tables. Place I played in often called The Billiards Cafe in MA has a great atmosphere and a 12 ft snooker table, but is not a "players" room, has a lot of variety or crowds from military groups, to dates to business people and parties.

Headed east / North East for couple months,” ACTION TIME “Give me Days/ Nights and pool room , I’ll slip on through ! 9ball and One Pocket , maybe some golf on and off the pool table ……

Funny thing, I have been wondering lately how many were left that knew what it was like to hit the road by yourself and stop pretty much anywhere you could find a pool table. You should have a lot of fun. If you make plenty of unplanned stops, probably even more fun. I never hit the road for more than weeks at a time and my last road trip was in the eighties before I found myself married. I went out of state working jobs but I don't know how well the wife would have taken my usual pool travel plan. "I'm going thataway and see what I find. I kinda plan to curve through here where I have never been, then depending on the economy I'll curve back towards home. I'll see you in a week or three!"

My sometimes road partner wanted to make more trips but he had a bad habit of forgetting he was married on the road. I didn't care but his wife had his revolver and deer rifle and could shoot them both. I used to sneak by his house from the back way and let him out near the woods just past his house. It would have been bad enough to be shot by my wife, really annoying to be shot by somebody else's!

Do keep us updated please. A few notes on the road might develop into a really nice story too. Have fun, enjoy meeting board members. Usually a blast meeting the people we have talked to for ages.

I envy you and would help with advice if I could. I never did the east coast and my information would be ancient anyway.

Kinda reminds me of my days in the Air Force catching empty seats on medi-vac planes (C-9’s) to go home to visit my parents. I’d always see a group of retirees just catching flights wherever the planes would take them. If no seats were available they would just head to the base golf course, or O/NCO club, and try again the next day. The life of the military road player. I was always a bit jealous of those guys. Lol

Oh, there is also a sort of a match table at a place in RI called Run Em Racks, good food and a mix of a few 9 footers from a US Open and 7 footers. The 9 footers are tight pockets, and they try to have a streaming match going every week, you can probably find a match for a few 100 or 1000 from someone there. I like that place but it's pretty dead outside of the tournament and league players, I don't think I have seen anyone not in a tournament there even on weekends so they try to run tournaments 3+ times a week. Snookers has a decently tough Wed night tournament, before some of the players passed away (much earlier than they should have) there would be several A+ and Open players and Dechaine playing in it, still has a good amount of strong A shooters.
