Semi Finals and The Finals of the big table Open Nine Ball are being produced into two one hour television programs and are being aired throughout the entire state of Wisconsin. A lot of or published flyers and posters state a deadline of June 4th. We have decided to extend the deadline until the day of the events. tournament information

there will be silent auctions for the team events and any other we can get done in the time frame available. more information is on our website www.bcwpool.com

I am excited some good tournaments are in this area finally and am also looking forward to play in some more tournaments at the carrom room.

Questions I have been asked

Is the 19,500 added based on attendance or is that just the bar box team event?

How will the $9000 added for the open events be divided? $3000 each?

Who is the tournament director?

Will there be auctions for all events?

Thanks in advance

auctions, added, money, tournament director

I am still discussing the regulations and what the law permits with the wisconsin law on,"Player Auctions". Although it would be nice I have to make sure it agrees with all gaming liscenses. All money is garunteed other than the team event. The team event is garunteed $2500 added and pro rated from there to $5,000 based on 64 teams. Example- 21 teams is roughly 30% so there will be 30% of $2,500 more added= $3,250 added. The singles non master 8 ball on the bar box is $1,500 added, We will add a pro rated $500 to a senior tournament based on 24 players. The big table events will be split as follows; Open 9 ball $4,000 added, Amateur 9ball $2,500 added, Open one pocket $2,500 added, Open 8 ball $2,500 added. We were originally going to have two $1,500 added singles bar table tournaments but the feed back about the format was negative so it was changed. Jonathan Demet is the Tournament director and duties will be delegated daily to a group of volunteer staff.

p.s. I did not mean anything negative by leaving you out when I mentioned good tournaments in this area finally. I have never been to your tournaments and would never talk bad about them. I meant to say big table tournaments. Thanks for having them and I look forward to playing in a couple next year. As a matter of fact I was hoping to get your schedule so I can make sure to plan BCW events around yours.

If your from the midwest and prefer to play on the big table and would like to see the action get better on the big table in the future, than this is the place to be!

hopefully I cover my costs. I will be glad to show you the books. The thing you might not understand is as a promoter and tournament director, tour president, website administrator, story writer, head of press releases.... I also pay the money lost if players do not show. The cost of 60 pool tables, air time on television, advertisement costs, graphics, trophies, ball room charges, added money.... unfortunately that is the chance I take when trying to throw a good tournament. Wait, I have actually been waiving the late fee for all singles events. So if you got a team I guess it is $200 instead of $175. Curious what do you do at your work when you work overtime? Do you work for free? If you do how do you pay your light bill or put food in your families mouth?

The event prices for non BCW tour members: (stands untill the day of the event)

Open Nine Ball $150

Open Eight Ball $130

Open One Pocket $130

Singles non master bar box 8 ball $30 ($1 per game)

5 man team 8 ball $175 + $25 late fee

Jr. National Qualifier $40

Senior bar box eight (ball min 16) $30

Open to all? Anybody, you mean everybody?

The bar table table events are open to all male non-national masters. Women will depend on known ability. The big table events are open to everyone including pros. Jonny has been working very hard on this event. He said entries are rolling every day. Make your room reservations before June 14th to get the discounted rate. After June 14th, you may not be able to still get the cheaper rate. The rooms are normally $139, but if you book now, it's $79. Ask for the IBCW rate before June 14th. If you have any more questions, please call Jonathan at 262-676-8242. http://www.bcwpool.com

Also, good luck to Jonathan with his event at Ho Chunk June 24-28.

I can't grasp what a non-national master is? :o And what events can the pros play in?

well I guess it someone that goes to a national tournament like bca nationals and is not considered a master there. to me any one that is not a master on a big table is not a master. but since there is no one patnering up with some bright college classes and proffesors to make a consistant way to anylize the difference in difficulty between a 7ft. table and a 9ft. table it is hard to answere that question. so if you are a master at bca nationals you belong in the big table open events such as the 9 ball open, one pocket open, and 8 ball open. if you know all the shots and execute them at a high percentage, have good speed control, finess, play all the games well, extreme pocket power, a solid break, and play descent patterns you are to good for the non master division. For now people might slipp through and if they do I will find out and try my best to make it right.

thanks for the question. if this did not help you, ask again and i will give it my best.

Thank you, yes, that was very helpful. I think I just had a brain lock or something. ;) I couldn't grasp it for some reason. Not the first time I got confused, I admit. :)
