IMHO. If a cuemaker is asking 2600 for a name and a joint and not selling them it is overpriced. If they are asking 2600 and they have a waiting list then they are not overpriced. The market value of anything is what you can sell it for.

Not quite correct. A cue, a piece of property or any other tangible items value is what two people are willing to pay for it. Just because one fool would be willing to pay an exaggerated price does not automatically qualify the item to be worth that value. If more than one person will pay that amount then the exaggerated value is still the correct value. The market determines a products worth.
