Pretty Boy Floyd's (Jimmy Mataya) Last Gun!
Born Sept. 25th, 1949 and now vowing to never play in another world championship again, this 4 time World Title holder is hanging up his guns. Having won his first tournament in 1965 and playing his last in 2006, Jimmy feels that this cue is a representation of some 40 years of tournament experience. Originally purchased in the 1990's, this Black Boar Cue is made of ebony wood with black Irish linen wrap. It has four veneers and weighs 19 oz. It is of regulation length, 58 inches. with two 13mm shafts. One of the shafts has never been used, and they both have triangle tips and were made with a stainless steel joint, complete with joint and staff protectors. It also comes with a soft, brown leather case purchased in 1982, another collector's item. Naturally, the cue has been autographed Jimmy himself, so don't miss out on this one-of-a-kind champion's cue. This BCA Hall of Fame Nominee is still considered by many to be one of the biggest names in the game. He is also the youngest player ever to have won back-to-back world titles (1971 and 1972) a record that still stands. Bidding will start at $13,000, and will go in increments of $1000. It also carries with it an autographed picture by Mr. Mataya. For those interested, contact Larry Schwartz at (847) 361-8900. Pictures of the cue are available by email.
