I think Sore and I would agree that this has went south real fast. In all fair ness Russ should have never been mentioned. For that Russ I sincerly apoligize. I need to make a statement to these things that have been said. After reviewing these pictures it is evident that I missed these. I normally do not be the circumstances were very different on this job. However, screwing up is screwing up no matter how you dice it or slice it. The manner I came out in was wrong!! Period, weither I was right or wrong. I have owned a few businesses and I know better. For this I 100% apoligize. Allow me to humble myself and be forgiven. All cumakers and refinishers have not and can not do a perfect job everytime and keep everybody happy. After a 100 cues or so I have now found this to be the case. I have had 3 cues I have redone and they were completely satisfied. 1 customer being Sore unhappy. I have to say that a 99% ratio, I think this is a good ratio. If agree please feel free to call me or e-mail me to discuss your next job.

(Sore) I understand where you are coming from. In a very short time a check will arrive for your repairs fully rembursing you. I am very sorry that my work came short on your cue. I do know the wrap was good when it left but that is not to say that it did not lift later. I will take measures to insure that this never to happens again. I sincerly apoligize for what you have went through. I never intended this to be the case. Please, if there is a future just call me. People who know me, will tell you that I would have redone your cue or refunded you. I am a very easy person to deal with.

For those of you that have any question to my work. Let me make this statement. I guarantee my work!! This:) means if any way you are not happy with something it will be fixed. If you should choose to have somebody else make the change I will pay for such changes if you want it done. This has always been the case but I should have made this much clearer. I have went so long with out a complaint that I never really thought about it.

In closing, I and nobody else, on God's green earth is perfect! I think in all of our hearts we strive for this but do come short. I am not out to do anything but make my customers truely happy. When I make a mistake I will step up and say , Hey sorry , My bad. I am not a runner nor a coward.
To all of my fellow AZer's I also extend my sincer apoligy for this mess. In the future lets work to nip them in the bud if this is ever the case again. Thanx to all and God bless!!!!!!!!!:) :) :) :) :)

Aaron, other than yourself, are you selling something in this thread? If not, why don't you just attach this blather to the end of one of your other "I am Aaron" threads? Thanks.

I accept your apology Aaron, I'm just sorry it took this long to come out.
I understand that fact that my cue could have been just a "fluke" in your craftsmanship, but if you would have just leveled with me from the start we could have came to a conclusion much earlier then this.

Not sure what you mean by the circumstances was different with this cue as I never complained until after you said it was in the mail.
This has gone on long enough I agree, and people will walk away with opinions on both sides, good or bad, I can live with that as I feel any consumer conscience person would have felt the same in my shoes.

I honestly wanted to get my cue and be happy, I didn't want to drag this out further then it had gotten. Unfortunately that wasn't the case, and when I spoke out over the work I got lashed at and immediately went on the defense, again, something else I think the majority of the consumer population would do in this case.

The way you responded and instantly went on attack mode with the explicits and accusation, I'm afraid that the damage is done, hopefully with time and a proven track record you can restore your reputation, while learning something from this.

I understand that nobody is perfect and mentioned that in the other thread to a degree. At this point I cannot accept a refund from you by means of a personal check. I will however accept a money order, no offense, just not taking any chances.

Please allow these people to mend thier fences. That means staying out of the conversation unless you are helping repair the damage previously done to both of these, Pain_pool and Sore_aintya.

Seriously,

Dave

I would prefer if the thread wasn't "yanked" in whole. It would be nice to leave up as a precautionary measure for the uninformed.

I do believe that I mentioned a apoligy somewhere in that cluster of previous post. What I mant by special circumstance was that the cue was not final sanded when it left. I had to grab it and fly to Fed Ex. I was there, with only a few minutes to spare. This is not usually the case. When doing so I am sure the cue grabbed dust in the some of the sanding marks. When I recieved it back I prep it for spray and got right on it. Never really closely examining the cue again. When clear was applied it also enhanced any surface scratches. This is not my normal procedure when restoring a cue. That is what I meant. It did not implie you at all. Your funds will be secure but I would have to wonder as to the relavence to that. I don't have your product and your check will certainly clear:confused: . Anyway, I will do so for you. It sucks that I had to learn to never guarantee a signature saved on a cue on your cue. Good luck in your future transactions. Thanx Aaron 815-243-1101:D

I understand loud and clear, thanks for clearing that up.

Well you have to understand, at this point I am very wary of everything, and just want to be on the side of caution.

What parts are relevant to the "uninformed"?

FWIW, I would prefer the topic die quietly in a corner somewhere. I doubt there are too many interested parties that qualify as uninformed.

Just lock it. That way the posting is over but it will always be available for reading

I've been playing poker online and missed this entire topic. Would all of you mind starting over from scratch, so that I might catch up ?

that's not a good idea.

it's important to learn from it. in fact another poster already had when he mentioned he saw a flaw in HIS cue as a result of reading that thread.

The "uninformed" would be the new people that havent signed up yet, that might happen to need a cue refinished in the future. Those are the parties that would qualify as uninformed, and have the right to know how some businessmen conduct themselves towards their customers.
If you delete the last thread and just leave this one, it would "falsely" lead a new poster to think that this repairman was doing anything but just trying to save his business. Its not fair to other potential customers if they dont know how this "apology" actually came about. They should have the opportunity to look up these threads and see the bad language and bad attitude that this businessman used towards his customer, and be able to make an informed decision whether to use him or not.

i totally disagree. i'd say 99.9% of the cue buying public is uninformed.

"uninformed"...as in they don't know how to look at cues,,, just simply buy, and take everything for granted. THAT is an uninformed public. but now they've learned something.

Here's the Readers Digest Version: :D :D

SA: PP, u said 1-week and it’s been 6. Where’s my Q?

PP: Sorry, it went out this morning. What a coincidence! Didn’t want to rush, it’s gotta be PERFECT to leave my shop.

SA: I finally got my Q back and it SUX! U did a terrible job! And did you say that your wife Could forge the signature (Qmakers) and that she’s good at it?

PP: My job is PERFECT! Ur a liar. Yes, I said my wife could forge the sig, but she’s never done it before--- really. And if the wrap and finish sux, prove it! I KNOW it’s perfect. So GO JUMP! All my friend LUV my work!

SA: Here’s PROOF! These pics prove that the wrap is butt-ugly and u scratched the hell out of my cue. At least, I THINK you made that scratch…

PP: Maybe you touched up those pics! Easy to do with Adobe. Send it to ANY of my friends instead and they’ll confirm that it’s PERFECT!

SA: I’ll show it to anyone who’s close to me. Go to KS and turn left at the silo, next to the old mill. Oh wait, my camera has a macro setting - here’s some really great pics of your hack job. Uhhhh…wait…oh yea, maybe those inlays WERE screwed up BEFORE I sent it to you. That was already done – my bad. But the rest of it I'm almost sure you screwed up.

PP: Well, OK, maybe THIS ONE Q left my shop without being PERFECT, but all the other ones really are! You kept pressuring me so I hurried the job then drove forever to get it to FedEx. After u waited for 6- weeks, I thought driving all nite was a wise decision. Anything for the customer! LOLOLOLOL
I know I said I strive for perfection, but really I’m just human and therefore slightly less than perfect. 1 out of 100 – NOT BAD!! LOLOLOL Sorry, dude! HEY! How about a refund?

SA: As a Member of the AZ Community, I have a civil obligation to ensure that potential customers are cognizant of the manner in which you……WAIT! Did you say REFUND?!? COOL BEANS!! Sure!! Send me money!! It’s ALL OK. Apology accepted. Yeah, send me some money and that’ll make it all OK! (MO or CC only, though.)

PP: LUV YA, MAN! Money’s in the mail --- really!

SA: U2, BRO!
