The 2nd catalog Palmer I have has (2) original shafts and (2) Phillippe shafts. I understand you want original palmer shafts, but I thought that Phillippe did a good job on the shaft that was with my old palmer.
I can supply pictures if you want.

The silver ring (about .070 the thickness of a nickel) is near the joint with a black ring (again about the thickness of a nickel) at the joint). I dont think that is a bad deal on the shafts. Buy the orignal one and if you need "playing" shafts. Phillippe has the material as shown by mine. I got the cue from Rack 66 in Louisville. He is a Phillipe dealer and you will find nobody more honest. Ask for Bryan Roberts and his number is (502) 969-2222.

I think I have one exactly like that. I am not sure though. It is straight and playable. I lent my cousin my cue case with my cues inside and he will be gone for about 3 weeks. But as soon as he returns I will make sure it is the shaft and I will make sure that it is in playable condition. Well give me your email address and I will send you a reply as soon as he gets back

Bill, you should wait and see if you could get a straight shaft off of
Mystick Cue Fan first , before trying to buy a warped shaft you'd be better off and alot cheaper! I'll have it awhile , no rush.
