Palmwood

I recently picked up a 1960's Viking Black Palm. I have never seen any one else use Palmwood in a cue ever. I have always wanted to add one of these to my collection and could not be happier to have one. It seems like a very unusual choice for a pool cue not to mention it has four points which indicates the blank was made by somebody else and purchase by Gorden for use in these unusual cues.
My question here is, Has anyone ever used or seen Palmwood used in any other cue?

I have a Rat (Ryan Theewen) cue with a black palm wood handle. You don't see it often but some makers do use it.

i've got a Titlist conversion (Manzino) that features Heart of Palm which is very dense/heavy

I have built cues with red palm grip and black palm forearm and back end. Looks good and plays good. Roger

You certainly don't see it often, I suppose I may have seen a cue or two were it was used but I just didn't know what I was looking at . I really like this one, it's not real heavy, about 18.5. I would describe the hit of this cue as soft and quiet.
