yea i have an elite break cue, it has the same wooden pin as a panther, but i put an x-breaker tip on it and now it breaks hard! a little to hard now that my stroke has gotten better, so now im trying to sell it and find a predator with a leather tip, able to control the cue ball much better. (if you are interested im selling it for $60 shipped, but its not a jump cue.) These cheaper cues are good for a while but you really get what you pay for, they break good but they do deflect the cue ball more than the upper end break cues like predator, sledge hammer, or customs. if it wont break the bank i would say get a good one, but if it will these cues are worth the money. hope this helps.
