Pantograph or cnc inlay machine wanted

Going by a couple of your keywords, lightweight and inlay. Are you just looking to cut inlay pieces or the pockets too with 4th axis indexing? Do you plan to cut the pockets on a full-length butt or separately? Meaning, inlay work on forearm and buttsleeve first before assembly.
Regarding lightweight:
There are certain factors to consider in machine design and the #1 consideration is the quality of the output product. If you require tight fitting intricate inlays, a low quality spindle that has high run-out bearings (Dremel) won't work. Secondly, cut-rate and material hardness are also thrown into the mix when designing the machine. And like I asked earlier, d you want manual indexing or cnc controlled 4th axis. This figures in because of the added weight of the 4th axis assembly should you decide on a moving table system as opposed to a moving gantry system.
As in custom cuemaking, there is a base price for the custom cuemaker's basic cue. The more features and higher quality components required, the higher the price.

There are only two cnc machines on the market that are "lite weight". But for that matter there is only 1 that I would recomend and that is the unique products cue monster. Chris Hightower of cueman billiards makes a realy nice machine for $1795.00 and you can buy some premade inlay patterns for $100.00 per templet to get you started. I can speak on the cue monster. I bought one of the first few they sold in 2002. I have replaced nothing but belts and it is still running tick tock perfect. They've got customer service nailed too. Bryan and Jim have answered every question quickly. Good buy, imo.

I have a good friend, who bought a Cue Monster. I helped him unpack it and set it up. The next time I saw him, he was cutting really cool inlays and pockets with it. I don't know exactly what he paid for it, but it does do a very nice job.PetreeCues said:
