Parrot Cue - Purple Heart/Tulip Wood

Bell shaped butt end/ parrott cues?

I was always under the assumtion that parrot cues were trade marked by the bell shape at the end of the butt.

Did someone else acquire the business from the orignal owner?

Are you talking about the black Parrot inlay in the butt piece? That Parrot inlay, a silhouette of a the original owners pet blue and gold macaw, was on every cue, usually in the butt piece. Since my stick has the tulip wood parrot inlays, they did not put the black inlay in the white butt piece.

This stick was built by the original owners, Charlie Fleming and David Hodges. The business is now owned by Todd Elkins, who used to be an apprentice at the shop.

I had a Parrot built for me in 1994, it had no bell shaped buttcap.

I'm assuming you are talking about a flared buttcap like a Sailor cue.

Mine was Birdseye and Ebony with Ivory star bursts in the buttsleeve.

Beautiful cue and this one is as well.

I can attest for the hit, they hit great.

Hope this helps
