Party Cheese Balls

I thought that I would share these. I remembered that recently someone had a birthday cake in the shape of a rack of balls. Well, we had a small family gathering today and my mother made these cheese balls.

Each cheese ball is made to the correct color using a different topping. The 8 ball is topped with black olives. The seven and fifteen are topped with bacon, the one and nine are yellow peppers etc.

The pieces of chalk are actually taffy. I thought it was a great idea and thought that it may get some ideas going for your next party! Enjoy.

The 2 and 10 are swiss cheese with blue food coloring. I guess she couldn't find anything blue. lol. The 5 and 13 are both orange bell peppers.

She used water chestnuts (I think that's what they are called) on the top of each one and then put the numbers on with the stuff they use to write on cakes.

I do think that she could have wrapped the stick ends with a white cheese of some sort and then tipped it with something like an olive. But I think it took her long enough as it was.
