The 2008 PartyPoker.net World Cup of Pool will officially
start today, October 7, 2008, in Rotterdam, Holland, friends!

And I heard that the Philippine tandem of Francisco Django Bustamante
and Dennis Orcollo will have at least a day to practice and accustom
themselves to the weather as they are scheduled to begin play
on Thursday, October 9!

Good luck Django & Dennis!


*Did a brief post on the event, including the opening day

I wish the belgium players Serge das and No?ll the best!!!

the are playing the dutch topteam in the first round, and i hope they get as far as last year, and win some greath matches like vs Taiwan last year !

To bad i couldn't get time off at work to watch them!!

The 2007 World Cup of Pool runners-up, Finland, are out of
the 2008 competition.

Markus Juva and Mika Immonen fell in the opening round
as they came up against an in-form Korea side of
Jeong Young-hwa and Kim Woong-dae.

Finland, the eighth seeds, had been expected to win
but at one stage trailed 4-0 and 5-1.

Final score: 8-4 win - victory came via a golden break.

And the first one is in the BAG.

Holland A with niels feyen and nick vdb got overpower by my two belgium mate's. Not inly did they win, but also with the biggest margin of all first round matches.

They should get a FIXED spot in the WCP for sure. KWart finals last year winning vs the world champion, now winning big time vs one of the Top teams...

i'm PROUD to be belgium :D
 
All I have to say,being canadian.Watch out for Edwin Montal and Tyler Edey.Finally the No.1 and No.2 ranked players in canada are matched up.These 2 are best of buds and have been travelling partners for years.
I think these 2 have something to prove and make canada proud.
