Forgot how great this baby played until today. Eric makes a great player and I love the wood combo on this one(picked it up last May). Purple heart and what I thought was bacote, but now I'm thinking it's something other than bacote. Maybe someone can say what the darker wood is. Whatever it is, it looks great with the purple heat.

I had Paul Dayton make a shaft with an ivory ferrule and then decided to have Paul make me a matching set of joint protectors. I got these back from Paul recently and then I started hitting some balls with the cue again. Makes me wonder why I've left it in the case the last few months(too many other cues is the answer...lol).

The Mike Lambros extension shown fits perfect and gives this cue an edge over most anything.

Thanks for looking guys, Jerry

It looks like Koa...

Thanks buddy, you may be right. It's dark, but not as dark as most bacote. It's not as grainy either and is quite a bit lighter brown on the other side. I should have rolled it over and took a few more pics.

Thanks, Jerry

Hat's off to Paul on the Joint protectors . They look perfect!

He did a great job on those. He tried to undercharge me for them, but I told him that the price was way to low for the time and effort he put in those. I paid him more than double what he asked for and I still got a good deal. Paul Dayton is a super nice man and makes very nice cues and I just couldn't take advantage of his generosity.

Thanks for noticing that, Jerry
