Paul Mottey cues hit

,,,,,,,,,,,,e that you can get a particular "style" of cue and they can tailor it to your liking. So if you like traditional points and veneers, you can get it. If you like a six point style, you can get it. You like 8 points? You can get that to. If you want something totally unique or of your own design, you can get it.

You got it? :)

joe,,,i can't say i agree. mottey, yes. but tad does his own thing,,,,you're not going to get TOTALLY your own design. he's like ernie. they both have a range of basic to fancy, but it is their design, and i think tad has a preference for certain woods ONLY, does he not?

mottey, otoh, will give you anything you want.

Bruin,
You got Tad on the brain? I didn't mention Tad anywhere in my post. I was only answering the first post.

I just want to know how Paul Motteys cues hit because I'm thinking of buying one of his cues. Does it have a stiff or a soft hit? All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.:)
I've owned a few of Paul Mottey's cues and I currently play with a Mottey cue. I think Paul has a great shaft taper on his shafts and I would say the hit is very solid and the type of tip and the joint style you choose will affect the hit of your cue. I like a piloted SS joint on my cue, but it's hard to beat the feel of the piloted ivory joint. I played with an ivory jointed Mottey cue for a while and it felt great to me and I think my SS jointed cue that I play with now hits a little firmer than the ivory joint, but they both felt good. It's up to you when you order your cue on which style joint you prefer. You can't go wrong with a Mottey cue!
