I find this an extremely good thing. It just might take a while before people start using it; as always everything new takes time to be adapted.

This sort of thing is going on on a larger scale already:

They have tons of Yahoo groups set up for different local areas, where people can post items that they want, or have to give away. Not just pool stuff, but *anything*.

I'm not saying, ditch this idea here and go use Freecycle for the pool stuff - I just thought considering the nature of the thread, that some folks might be interested in this in a more general sense.

so... i've got about 3 or 4 soft cases i can give up, as well as a 1x2 red lined box case...
