Pechauer Black Ice for breaker?

Hello friends! I couldn't find a single decent review of an interesting cue shaft for breaking: Pechauer Black Ice. If anyone has tried it, please share your experiences. Also, a broader question: this shaft is 2 ounces heavier due to a special manufacturing process. Is it convenient or effective to break with a cue that has such a front-end balance? Anyone with experience?

I used a Black Ice break shaft on a JP series cue for two years and I really loved it. It has a very distinctive sound and feel that's hard to describe. I've tried a lot of different break cues and I currently like the Revo best, but I'll pick up another Black Ice some day because it just felt so unusual and satisfying.

I have one. I also have a pechaur carbon break shaft. I do find myself using the carbon one more often but can say the Black Ice is more forgiving. When I'm careless with the carbon, the cue ball spins and the wasted energy is obvious. The cue ball never spins with the black ice.

The weight takes getting used to. I am sure it can be argued that the forward balance helps you get through the ball faster.

I don't list either of them for sale, but if someone walked up to me offering to buy either of them off me, I'd be fine with whichever was left. I guess that is a good, if backhanded, endorsement for the Black Ice.

i have their whole breaker setup (pechauer naked breaker with black ice shaft). Ive only had it a few months, but i like it. It delivers better results than my cheap amazon special that i used for years. You cant go wrong with anything pechauer honestly.

I know I’ve read a few. Here is one I posted in (below)

Short answer love the forward weight, and slick as glass and I have not and to do anything to the shaft since I got it. I have it at 19oz.

I tried a white diamond tip on it but ended up not liking it after a while. I swapped the WD for a Bulletproof and love it. Super solid break shaft.
