peoples billiard club in Memphis

Im in Memphis TN for the weekend because i am staying downtown for the UFC fights at the Fed Ex forum. We were just walking around beale st checking out the scenery and I saw a pool hall called Peoples. I was just wondering if anyone on here lives near or has ever played there and if it would be worth my while stopping in. It looked empty earlier but was about noon so it might have not been open. thanks for all the input and feedback guys.

I get to Memphis often enough, my brother lives just west of the river.
I always get to Peoples. they open late afternoons, have maybe 6 or 8 older
9' tables and one very brutal 10' snooker table. I go there for the snooker but there is usually a couple groups playing on the other tables. Beer is available, maybe something stronger I dont' remember.

I'll in Memphis over Christmas visiting the inlaws. What are some other good places to play? They live in the burbs (Collierville), but I'll be mobile
