Peri shafts

I am curious about the various Peri shafts. The shaft named P20 has S, R and K variants , with the K shaft having a price close to $800! Since I doubt Searing or Black Boar charge that much, I would love to know how they acquired unicorn horn for the ferrule or what other voodoo could be in these shafts.

I did find another website where they talk about how select the wood is as you go from the S to R to K. I doubt they are turning wood as slowly and carefully as the custom cue makers do.

the difference lays in how long they aged the wood, but over 600$ for a wood shaft that is not better than a 314 is just crazy

I bought a second shaft for my Schmelke off ebay for $50 and it plays just fine,straight and no sugar marks.

The shafts are good, the top of the line one was really good, but for the price, not so good. Low deflection combined with a good hit feel. Z3 level of deflection aiming with better feel. I shot with 2 or 3 of them at SBE with Shaw.
