Does anyone here have any experience with this light:

I think the maker posted something on AZB some time back but I wanted to get some user feedback on it. It looks like a knockoff of the Predator version, which is not necessarily bad but I had questions. There is reference on the website to needing to tape up corners or use black caulk which doesn’t inspire confidence. Also, wondering if it can be mounted flush to the ceiling. Any information would be appreciated.

Predator lights are made by a company called Lucid. I think the perimeter style lighting offers to much light to spectators. I am also partial to my light :) Littman makes a great light too! Parabolic reflectors are where its at! You can barely tell they are on. Good luck!

I suspect those type of lights are far the best….I‘m used to horrible pool images with a mass of light in the center…these seem perfect.

I purchased one of these lights about ~8 months ago.

My table is in my garage (17' x 28') and it throws off so much light that I don't need any other light sources when I'm in there. It was a bit of a pain in the ass to mount, due to it using 8 mounting points to the ceiling, but past that it's been great. Fit/finish isn't flawless, but for less than half the price of the Predator light, I'm more than satisfied. Plus you never look at the light once it's mounted anyways so any imperfections won't be noticed.

I had the 8' Predator light which I had to wait 3 months for them to ship from China. After I set it up it was great - the best table light I ever saw. After about a year and a half, one of the long sides died. I contacted the rep and he sent me a new power source. After disassembling and installing the power source it still did not work. He then wanted me to take the whole light apart so we could troubleshoot it. (It took me a whole day to assemble it) I was so frustrated I took the light apart and, with the help from 8cree, I bought two 2x4' LED panels, connected them lengthways and hung them. I can honestly say that they illuminate my table as well as the perimeter light for one third the price and I can get any replacement part in a matter of days.

Thanks for the info. It’s something to look about. If it’s no bother, would you mind sending me a pic. You could do it here or PM me. Thanks.

You have three years support and warranty on the Arena lights. I'm surprised they couldn't resolve the issue to your satisfaction.

It doesn't totally surprise me as I've seen posts lately on FB about Predator warranty being lacking.
