Perimeter Lighting

I bought one a couple years ago.
Mine is not able to be used on a dimmer switch so the only issue I have is that it's very bright compared to other local tables.

I have the exact experience, great lights but mine was before the dimming option was available, so it's lit up like a surgery table or an autopsy table.

I don't like them at all. The diffusers they use are not like the egg crate style that Diamond, Littman, Brunswick, and more traditional pool lights use. So when you look up, or even from the side, they hurt my eyes.

Lots of players seem to like them though.

I have been doing very extensive research on pool table lights as I am going to have a home room again after moving back up North. I have settled on the Littman pool table light as of now- everyone complains about the brightness of perimeter lighting, I know dimmers are now available, but you are dimming light over your table just because the light not over the table all over the room is too bright from the perimeter lighting- makes no sense to me.

The Littman light diffuser seems to direct a very even light over the table itself without any need for dimming or adjusting- that seems close to ideal for me. I am thinking of their 1X8 light over a nine foot table. It is $1,000- not cheap, but in looking for all new furniture for my new home - prices for everything are high if you want quality- that is life today-

Perimeter lights look OK in larger public pool rooms bc the space being lit is so much larger- in an 18 X 20 room or so for a nine footer, that perimeter light will seem very, very bright.

My buddy has one and it's great.

We're about to start remodeling for a pool room in the next few weeks and have already ordered ours.

Dimmable is a must…
