perry weston cues

Has any one ever played with a perry weston cue.I would like to hear some feedback about his quality and work and if his cues hit any good thanks.

I have seen some of his cues and they looked well crafted. Don't they have the flared buttcap? Don't really care for that, I am too old school.

Not sure about the hit however. Never got the chance to play with one yet.

Anybody else? A little help needed here....

His fancy cues with the fine silver wire work exhibit some the very finest workmanship with that material that we have seen from any cuemaker. That seems to be what he is most known for.....well, that and the flared butt cap. :) The ones I have personally played with hit fine.

Matt,

He makes a very nice cue with excellent workmanship. Troy had one for a while and I really liked the way it played although as you should know by now that hit is subjective.

I've hit with one old stainless steel joint Perry Weston. The hit is fine, a little on the soft side even with the SS joint. Construction is excellent, clean looking points, inlay work and ringwork. Really nice guy and helpful over the phone.

I had one of his cues in the mid 90's a beautiful cocobolo and ebony cue. It had a phenolic joint and and the hit was fantastic. Not at all whippy.
