Pet peeves with the forum

i'd say just a couple of new sections would freshen things up a bit. mainly say, a section for all cue discussion, and say a section for how you play shots with all the wei table and cuetable posts and questions.

i cant really think of any other subjects 'big' enough to warrant their own section.

plus like someone else said, you don't want too many sections. too many sections is no good!

A question to answer ....

I think it should parallel to about how most people set up their directories for 'My Documents'. So how many subdirectories do you all have setup within the 'My Documents' directory. I think most only have maybe 2-5 subdirectories with that directory with more documents in each one, rather than more subdirectories with lessor documents in each one.

Get the point .... It is more efficient and less time consuming to have fewer sub-directories than to have too many. A sub-directory (or sub-forum) should only be created when it is absolutely necessary. And you can not forget the guy doing the maintenance on the system and the time it takes him.

only problem i have here is not with the Forum, but rather with posters. i fail to understand why people respond to threads and start with the insults and/or jokes.

if people post, then it must be a pretty serious topic/issue with them. may not be with others, but posters should be mature and decent enough to refrain from hurling insults, or making threads into who can tell the last joke about the topic.

Personally I think the number of forums is adequate. I also think this forum is pretty good the way it is now. If I think real hard I can probably come up with a complaint, but nothing obvious. No matter how how hard you try, you will never produce a user interface (graphical or otherwise) which please all users, but I think if a GUI lab were to run a bunch of usability tests on AZB, they wouldn't find a whole lot of things to change.
