I was in a truck stop in Gary indiana around 2001/2002 and was in line at the counter paying for fuel when i heard a crunching , ruffling sound behind me. I turned around to see a big guy( about 300 pounds) behind me with 2 xxl bads of tortilla chips, jars of salsa , drinks etc... in his hands. I asked him if he would like to go ahead since his hands were full and he said yeah thanks. as i looked at him it hit me and i said"how you hitting em pete" he just gave me that -hit eatin grin of his and said "how you been jason" i was surprised that he recognized me after about 6 or 7 years and each of us putting on about 75 to 100 pounds. turns out he is driving the big rigs for a living(as i am) and living in fayetteville n.c. at that time. Pete is one of those guys that is not gonna win any popularity contests, but he sure can(could) play and on several instances over the last 25 years we made some good scores together when we crossed paths.
I haven't seen my old friend in a while and was wondering if he was still around. If anyone has any stories of him that would be great too.
