PFD Paul Drexler | "The Fountain Pen" | $OLD

  • Amazing Buckeye Burl with phenomenal depth - amazing piece of wood
  • The forearm and butt sleeve both have four silver and gold inlays illustrating a gold tip of a fountain pen
  • The joint is "i-vree" surrounded by double silver rings, separated by a layer of "i-vree" with, four silver and black diamonds
  • The butt sleeve is accented with the same silver rings at the top and bottom.
  • The handle is a genuine elephant wrap - I was told (I cannot confirm for sure, but it feels right)
  • Shafts are 3.7oz and 3.8 oz
  • Butt is 29 and 15.6oz
  • Black G10 Radial Pin
  • Two original shafts with matching PFD joint protectors with shafts numbered 1 & 2
  • Cue rolls straight together and apart

This cue was commissioned by one of Paul's avid collectors. The request was to make something no one has seen before. Paul came up with the Fountain Pen. In recent conversations with Paul, he said that he have to charge over $4,500 to replicate this cue today. I am happy to provide videos or more pictures for prospective buyers. I live in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I can provide references.

Thanks for looking!

SO, I have this posted in a "PFD Cue" private group on Facebook. Paul Drexler and the "avid collector" both commented on the cue...

Frankly this cue is one of my favorites - the burl is spectacular and the silverware only high lites how special this design really is . . .

I am that avid customer of Paul & Ellen. What a fantastic cue I could look at it all day. I chose a few blanks for Paul to finish for me during a memorable visit to Paul's shop. I remember he sprayed alcohol on that blank and it came alive like no other piece of would Ive ever seen. My wife was with me Paul took us for a great lunch and tour of the town. Much of my collection has turned over once or twice but I still have a couple PFD favorites. This cue will sell quick...
The wood was so beautiful neither one of us wanted to add points or any inlays that would break up the burl. Paul came up with the fine silver fountain pen motif which was perfect. A little sale in the rings and great piece of black natural imported hide.

This is such a cool cue, very unique design. As a fan and user of fountain pens, I dig this a lot.

Thanks Slide. I also have this listed on FB. Paul commented on how much he likes this cue and the PFD collector that commissioned the cue also commented on how amazing it is in-person. The wood is simply stunning. Let me know if you are thinking about owning it.... :)

I have had lots of activity on this cue, but no one pulling the trigger just yet.
I know someone appreciates this craftsmanship enough to want to own this beauty...
