Pharoah's Uber-Fancy Skip

This pic has an ebony cue w/ recut (fiery!! HOT HOT HOT) points. What be it?

My mistake...the first linked pictures are my cues, also by Skip. I must've pulled up the wrong file when uploading.

Since it's there and drawing comments, I'll let it stay, lol. Bloodwood into Ebony, with curly maple-bloodwood-curly maple-ebony veneers.

For all interested parties, this cue is up for sale as I may be retiring from the game.

Anyone interested, please feel free to PM me for more pics.

Every picture in this thread is of Brian's Skip.

His point/veneer work is his signature as a cuemaker, imo. Hardwood veneers of ebony - purpleheart - putumuju - maple. Perfectly even, one-piece veneers as only Skip can do.

Wouldn't what you call 1 piece veneers actually be re-cut points, just done in different colors?

"Recutting" implies that you glue each wood, then "recut" them while they are in the forearm. Skip does the process without "recutting".

Nice Cues

All of those Skip's are very nice. Here is another example of Skip's pointwork. I know, the pics suck. Sorry. Great cues, great guy.

By the way, love your new James White cue!

I met Pharaoh and Buddha in VF they make a very nice couple ;-)
Shocking how a guy who hides behind his monitor met so many peeps in VF. Also saw that cue in person, very nice.

As do you and cornerman :D

There might be a double date in the works if you play your cards right, lol.

Thanks for the kind words about the cue JimBo and it was a pleasure meeting you too.

Despite the beauty that this cue holds and its solid play, it is on the market. I have a thread in the 'Wanted/For sale' forum lsiting full specs and price (including black lizard Ron Thomas case).

I also have a Bluegrass listed in the same thread.

Nothing wrong with either cue! They are still brand new. But from this point forward, I think it will most likely be only Mottey and White for me.

Brian, have you ever seen Carmen Lombardo's ebony on ebony Mottey? That is one awesome looking cue.

Actually, yeah. I've seen it many times and yeah! It does look great!

Just out of curiousity, do you play out of Comet?

I play at Comet and sometimes at Crown.

Interesting! I play at Comet once in a blue moon but mostly in New York. I'll be there Saturday afternoon for a tournament and I'll have the cues with me so if you know of anyone looking for a cue, send 'em my way!

And maybe I'll see you there!

Hi Brian,

Thanks for showing me your cues in VF.

Good luck with the sales! That is a hot looking Skip! O boy o boy...
