i'm using a predator sp to break and i am thinking about changing the tip and ferrule to a sledgehammer phenolic tip? does anyone know why it SHOULDN'T be done?! HEHE. because i need feedback as doing this would void the warranty (i know, like i care.. heh.) and there will be 'kosong' resale value if its blotched.

any comments, input, thoughts?

much appreciated.

You might want to consider just putting a phenolic tip on your regular predator ferrule. No warranty voided and you can always go back to leather if you like.

Are your videos ever going to be available on DVD? (for those of us that no longer have a VHS player).

Thanks
Tim

You may want to try a white diamond tip by Picone Cues. So far they are the best all around break and jump tip we've found. The control is unbelievable for a tip that hard. Just a thought. You can get them at www.piconecues.com.

I wouldn't suggest the phenolic tip for fear that the ferrule might crack but it's your choice.

I guess you are referring to the fact that Predator shafts have soft (and brittle ?) ferrules ? The phenolic tip might cause excess pressure to the ferrule...
