Hey Gang,

I am watching the WPC and made a little observation. Whenever a Philippino is playing the crowd is HUGE. When a non-Philippino is playing there are table side seats empty!! So, I am posing this question. Are Philippinos pool fans or Philippino Fans. This is the WORLD championships. I would be at just about every match. You never know when you are looking at the NEXT world champ.

First of all, it is spelled "Filipinos". They will be there later watching I'm sure.
It's just the qualifying stages. Wait till the KO stages, you'll be in for a big
surprise. Or they could be saving up their hard earned money for some
quality or "meaningful" matches later.

It's called "Home Town Crowd/Gang". They will support their country men, specially during qualifying stages. :)

Let me ask you this, if there were 2 Tables: Table 1 has Rodney Morris and an unknown player 1 (not Filipino) and on Table 2 it's Efren Reyes with another unknown player 2 (not Filipino). Who will you watch?

I'm pretty sure that every Pinoy body inside PICC will be watching Efren. ;)

Will every American watch Rodney? Most likely. :D

There are quite a few matches going on in the hall and some spectators watch whatever player interests them. I've seen the same scenario when the WPC was held in Cardiff... when no big name player was in the tv table, lots of vacant seats.

During the KO stages I think there will be much better attendance at the TV table

i think there are more people watching the gambling going on off-cam ;)

I most definitely agree! It's like ants to a spoonful of sugar! The smell of
money is the sweetest! Real Pool! Real Rules! True Dough! :D

Parica didn't draw that big a crowd in his debut.

We had a big crowd surround Earl Strickland on his Table 3 match yesterday.

Didn't I mention 2 guys with very good rep? ;)

You did the complete opposite, hence you'll get an opposing result. :D

I awlays got a feeling that it is someone who ask Earl to do all this act. Maybe i am wrong.
