Phoenix Area Billiards Stores?

I hate it when the first post on a forum is a question, but meh its all I can do right now! SO... Hi Everyone :)

Anyways, I am in the market for purchasing a cue and I have been researching online a lot in regards to what brands are the best for quality and as an investment. With that being said, does anyone know of a few good Billiards stores in the PHX, AZ area that have a good selection of quality cues to try out? I am looking mostly at the mid $200 range McDermotts, Vikings, and the like.

The local stores that I have found websites for don't have a lot of information about their inventory so I figured I would poke around here and see if anyone has some reccomendations. I would rather get some quality info before I go out instead of going to a crapload of Pool Table stores only to find they sell crappy bar cues for home use.

So, Lets hear em!

Thanks!

Hi James,

The place to try in Phoenix is Shoot the Bull on 15th Ave. and Indian School. They carry a nice line of pool and dart supplies. I don't know exactly what you might be looking for, but I usually have some nice pre-owned custom cues available, as well as a few production cues. Feel free to PM me to discuss further. You can also look in the Billiard's Digest that's available in almost any local bar or poolhall and find some other choices. There's a local guy named Mark Davidson that can swing some pretty decent deals on Meuccis, if that's your cup of tea.

Regards,

Steve

I would go see Jazz at Metro Sports Bar. (Metro Center)

He has a shop in there that he does tip/shaft work. He does not build cues anymore (though he could).

He should have what your looking for, and would probably let you test drive a cue or two on the tables there....

He is a no nonesense type of guy, and definatly will give you honest answers and won't try and "sell" you anything.......(you will see what I mean when you see him)

He backs up all his work 110% and I am sure he would do the same for anything you buy from him.

BTW....Don't go before 2:00 pm......he is a afternoon/evening type of guy....

Thanks guys!

I will go check out your reccomendations and hopefully see exactly what I am looking for. I would much rather purchase a good condition used cue without having to pay the markup for a new cue. So in that case, you may be getting a private message soon!

Thanks again!
