For uploading and displaying pics of your pool cues etc., which of the many free photo hosting sites do you think are the best to use, and why ?

Thanks, Ghost

Personally I like http://xs.to - I like the fact that they have all the codes for forums, direct, and embedding. They have been doing it for years for free. However, there are many sites that do that now.

I dug this up for you from my book marks. It is a information and link page to some of the more popular Image hosting sites.

http://www.free-webhosts.com/free-image-hosting.php

There are 2 pages of hosts, I almost missed the box at the bottom of the page to go to page 2.

I am using photobucket.com and it is great. You can decide on the size of your pictures before uploading and it will upload your pics into your account/album resized and you don't have to bother with that one. You can also edit the pictures if you wish. I have found it extremely comfortable, no pain in the leg parts, it works fine.

1.) http://tinypic.com/ Resize, Direct Copy/Paste to embed images, the images remain on sites much longer without broken links, it is the easiest and fastest to use for people new to hosting images, and its FREE. It is the absolute best to me.

2.)Imageshack Images remain on sites longer than photobucket without broken links.

Anytime I see a post say a month or so old, and the pics don't show up anymore, it always has photobucket written all over it ;-)

The top two, thats all you need.

I don't know if am right about this or not but the reason why you see those photobucket missing images is because the 'owner' of the pictures removed the photos from photobucket.

I have been using it since quite some time and all the pictures are there as well as in the posts that I made.

On the other hand, reading all the nice things you are writing I will give the other possibilities a try as well.

Maybe so, just weird it is always photobucket I see with no images. But if it is free, it is ALL good. But I have used em all and tinypic is the best for me. Different strokes for different folks
