Mohawk makes good products though I haven't used their lacquer.
10 yrs. ago I was shooting a Sherwin Williams lacquer, Kem-Var I believe it was.
Not a bad finish but it did have a couple of drawbacks.
It will yellow over time and it will chip pretty easily.
One memorable experience I had was when shooting it over nickel-silver rings.
After several yrs, a reaction would occur that caused the rings to turn green.
Certainly not something I was going to accept.
I don't shoot lacquer anymore and rarely use metal rings other than sterling.
