It looks like the official IPT balls are in use. They're made by Aramith I believe.

No "balls" jokes please.

They are a nice looking set, may pick a set up and use the measle ball with it. I like the measle ball to much not to use it. I thought they would think of some new version of that for the IPT, Guess not.

thats a really nice idea getting their own set....

is it just me or does the 2/4 and 12/14 look an awful lot alike? at least on tv.

You mean the 2/4 and 12/10 and yes I agree with you, The purple is more toward the blue tint, not a grape like purple, I wish they would have went with a much darker blue and lighter purple to make them stand out more, or vise versa.

But it shouldn't be a problem to follow since it's 8 ball (stripes and solids). But in 9 ball that would have been murder to follow on TV which ball was next on the 2/4. If they plan to sell these, It might be good idea to make them stand out more. Both Brunswick Centennials and Aramith pro seem to have better color distinction.

I can play with just about any set of balls, except Elephant Beautiful Balls! or any other designer balls, I can't stand them. Super Arimith Pro Cup TV Balls with the real light pink 4/12 and brown 7/15 are my favorites, very clean design as well. I haven't seen many pool rooms with them though.

It's just so much better to have clear color distinction, especially for TV, I would have liked to seen the IPT do something a little more innovative.

I can handle a red dot on my Qball but I dont want any graffitti.
If we are going to have advertising on Qballs why stop with the IPT. How about Joe's Garge, McDonalds? How would you like to be on the most important shot of your life and a Kentucky Fried Chicken's ass is right on the spot you have to hit"?
A logo on a Qball is ridiculous and an insult to all players . Qballs have traditionally been white for a reason!

Gabber.........Its just for close-up shots for the tv.

I must admit I'm not impressed with this ball set. We've been using Brunswicks recently but I also have a set of TV Pro cup, both of which I prefer to these. Maybe it's just the picture but they look so cheap and also there are too many colours that look similar. OK, they are for 8 ball so you can make out solids vs stripes but anyone who buys a set will inevitably play some 9 ball with them too so the colours should be more distinctive. Also, since it's a call shot game it could be even be an issue at 8 ball because people could mistakenly call the wrong ball because they've gone by the colour when the number is obscured.

I agree with the comments about the logo on the white and I hope the game doesn't go down this route. I like the spotted white, which must be good for TV as it shows of the spin on the cue ball so I can't really understand why they've not gone for something like that.

I like the measle ball, also, as it provides very good feedback about how well you actually hit the cue ball. IPT should have used a red version of their logo scattered around the ball like the measle dots.

I'm not crazy about the IPT balls' design either.

I also prefer the measle cue ball from a spectator's POV, and would've liked to see them try to incorporate something similar.

It looks like the color stripe is wider than on other versions...
