I just got a new Dominiak Q with the Dominator shaft. Well, "preowned," but new to me. I saw this pic posted on AZ on 7-9-03 and instantly fell in love with the Q.
It was originally owned by Zim of Zim's Rack in IL. Since then it went thru 2 other owners before I finally bought it. It is a 1/1 and the only 1/1 that Dominiak Cues has ever made. They have made other Qs using this same model 1009 design, however this is the only one made from Snakewood and Ebony. Dominiak Cues is no longer making Qs as their wood business is taking all their time. They do expect to return to making Qs in the future. What do u think? Is she a beauty?
The butt sleeve and forearm are ebony with inlays of long diamond and spear points of snakewood. The handle is snakewood with inlays of long diamond and spear points of ebony. It has a phonolic butt cap and joint rings. It is cored with an 8 piece radially spliced maple dow and the joint is a Unilock radial screw for that great solid hit that Dominiak Qs are known by. I'm a happy camper and just wanted to share with u the beauty of this fine custom cue.
