Does the USA have a point system to select our Mosconi Team Players, or are they chosen by the other players or some other way, or any ideason how to do this to select the best team? I know sometimes the best Players do not make the best team, but most of the time we need the best players on the team.

There is a point system used for both teams. Players earn points at several national or international events all of which are announced at the beginning of the year. They even dropped the lowest score for each player to make it more fair if players had to miss one event. The guys that played were the top ranked for the USA based on that system that everyone was aware of at the beginning of 2011 so I'm actually a little annoyed about everyone that is complaining about the USA team members. There are a lot of different factors that go into how well someone plays under that type of pressure at the Mosconi but the team was made up of the players that performed the best in the biggest events this year.
