Hi guys,

Does anyone have pix of ebony and purpleheart cues? It doesn't matter which one is used in the forearm. I'm looking to get a new cue done up and I really could use some help!

thanks

How are the photos going to help? Are you trying to get an idea of different hues of Purpleheart? Mine is about as purple as I've seen.

Hi Joe,

THAT CUE IS V.E.R.Y B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.

Would you kindly post more pictures of the cue please? I like it very much and it is certainly very inspirational.

It is also very serendipitous that you posted pix of a southwesterbrock....I'm possibly getting an Ed Young made and Ed told me that DPK will work on the cue with him.

Dear Fred,

Thank you for the pic. I remember you showing me the pix once before...do you mind showing me a full pic of the cue?

I have set my mind on an ebony / purpleheart cue, and I am trying to gather more pix to get a visual conceptualization on it. You are right, shades of purple are important, and the cuemaker recommended figured purpleheart, so hopefully I will get to see some in this thread. Yours really is as purple as they come! Is that a Gilbert BTW?

More importantly, I was trying to decide if I should do purpleheart points into ebony or ebony points into purpleheart. The cuemaker recommended something without veneers and I wanted to see if this is something I'd like.

Different cue, I'm sure.

Lambros. A zillion years ago, when I promised myself that I'd only get "one more cue," I said that I'd get a Lambros. Finally did it.

Personally, I like to put separation between PH and ebony.

Hey Chenz, I'm having a hard time seeing the detail in those photos. How about you send the two cues featured to me so I can get a better look?! :D

No problem Zeeder, as long as you will cover the shipping...roughly $7k :-)

Shipping them bad boys sure ain't cheap is it? Perhaps one day we'll be in the same vicinity and we'll be able to see each other's cues without all that expensive shipping! Especially once I get my White!!

Ebony into birdseye 26 1/2

Just refinished this one-piece with French Polish. Beautiful ebony - consistent grain all the way down to the butt - spliced into birdseye. Extra-long splices typical of old 26 1/2 cues.
