Hey man-
Nice looking' cue you got there! I have to say that of the two wraps, I prefer the brown lizard, but then again, my opinion is somewhat tainted... Seeing as how I had it put on. ;-)
Did you buy this cue from Troy (aka vinnie)? I sold it to him several months back. It broke my heart to part with it but what can I say??? I met a girl and the ring I picked out for her cost me about 3 Motteys, a Bluegrass, and a few other cues! But no real regrets. Cues come and go. Maybe someday I'll get this one (or some of the others) back. But I got the girl and she's more than I'll ever need!
Interesting note: the original wrap was black linen which I had Paul Fanelli strip and replace with white w/ brown spec to give it the classic hoppe look. But I had a few other lizard wrapped cues at the time and opted to have Paul switch it again (about a year later) to the brown lizard because the scaly nature of the lizard and the wild figure of the burl seemed to compliment each other well. Plus, the color of the lizard matched the burl perfectly. I loved that cue. In fact, I never net a single person who DIDN'T fall in love with the hit of that Mottey!!!
Congrats man! She is a keeper!!!
