Pin and thread change

Is it easier or better to change the thread of a shaft or the pin of a cue?
I have radial pin butt and a 5/16x14 shaft

Have a competent repairman or cue builder take the insert out of the shaft, plug it and drill bore and tap radial threads. Not a hard fix.

It's always easier to change the threads in the shaft......... you could even have a new shaft made................ this is a good time to do it.
