Ping Pong Balls That Look Like Pool Balls?

I am trying to make some stringers/counters and I was hoping to find some billiard themed ping pong balls but I'm not having any luck.
Has anybody seen these before?
I made a few with miniature pool balls last year but they get kind of heavy and I spent ALOT of time at the drill press.

If you know where I can find ping pong balls or something similar, please let me know.
Thanks!!

That's a great idea! If someone hasn't done it yet, you should have them made and sell a few million sets.

I made my own. Multicolor permanent marker set, a pack of white ping pong balls, and call it good. Not too hard at all.

Using Acrylic paint, pro grade is a nice pigment. Marker pigments are nice but too opaque for my visual requirements.
Acrylic paint paints the surface, providing better coverage of the surface.

Painting ping pong balls is simple. There are many color palettes available. Having the extra paint is the most common problem at the end of the project.

Car spray paint also has nice effects. Some like the shiny feature others like matte. Glow in the dark can be fun with the right lighting.

One of your very, very, very, very, very, very few, useful posts.

Google "8 ball ping pong balls". There's listings on Ebay, Amazon, & party supplies stores.

I've seen plenty of 8 balls but not the rest of the set. They don't really have to be ping pong balls...just something similar in size and weight. Looks like I'll be back to the drill press with the solid miniatures :(

The plastic practice golf balls with the holes in them have worked very well for us strung above the lights on a wire, for over 25 years now. You could spray paint them all before hanging them, but that would require a number of different cans of spray paint. We spray-painted the 5th and the 10th balls black, so it would be easier to figure the score if looking from a distance.

I have several sets of bouncy balls like this that I must have picked up when someone was having a clearance. $6 plus shipping. $10 plus shipping gets you two sets. I think you would want to drill and put in a metal or plastic tube to eliminate wear. I think you could drill a little off-center so the number hangs straight. The numbers are the same way up on both sides, which I think is not true for pool balls.

Or... You could screw a small metal eyelet into the "top" of the ball for the easiest job.

I have seen photos of these online, but could not find a way to actually buy a set.

Doesn't Derby City Classic use large plastic pool balls for beads/score counters? I wonder where they got them. I know I've seem them at other professional events as well.

I used mini pool balls for counters above my light. I made a jig to drill in the center using a drill press.

That looks really good. I made several stringers for myself and friends with miniature balls last year. Same way with a jig and drill press. I just used a cable with a turnbuckle to get the string tight. I was just hoping to save some weight by using ping pong balls. Thanks for the idea to use a solid rod instead of a cable.
