Does anyone know of any July tournaments in Birmingham,Al or Jackson,Ms this month? Or maybe just a good place to match up?

Jackson, MS - The Green Room - Off I-55 on Frontage Road. go south on frontage and take a right before the jaguar dealership. best place in town, probably the only place worth going to. cheers.

Not sure how long you are going to be in B'ham but there are several places to play there and within a couple hours drive.

Just south of B'ham in Pelham theres Poppa G's. Theres action and alot of
regulars there.

In B'ham there is Bumpers and the Break. Those are the 2 main places that I can remember. Most people go to Poppa's.

Depending on the timing there are usually tournaments somewhere within a
couple hours range.

I think you will get better info if you try the www.southernbilliards.com
board.
They are more local and current with the pool scene in B'ham. Some regulars on the board are from Alabama.

You can also try email the local APA operator there. They should know the places to play at least and might know of things happening in that area.
I have moved to SoCal from AL but still have friends there. I see if I cant find out some more.

If you want something a little more country and I mean COUNTRY, you can try THE RACK (just bar tables as I recall-kind of hot temperature wise)which is located on I-55 east frontage road just south of Jackson, MS. You can see it from I-55 if you are headed into Jackson from say, New Orleans. Oh, did you say New Orleans...... Buffalo Billiards 504-279-2137 186 miles south of Jackson, MS.

Matt plays some one pocket up at The Green Room . Tell him I sent you and don't forget to send me my jelly. :-) or tell Matt to hold onto my jelly. ;-)

If you want to butt heads with the big bull, that would be Reid Pierce (U.S. Open Champion). Tell him I sent ya and you might get kicked out of the Green Room. :-)

BTW, The Green Room is on the northern side of Jackson, MS and is on the west frontage side of I-55, kind of tough to get to but worth the visit.
