Kobly's in Tempe. Nothing else is like it in the Valley of the SUN.
Monday is a tough one. Nothing too much going on at Kolby's and that is a pretty good drive for you.
Metro Sportz Bar has a Bar box tournament that starts around 7-7:30 and usually draws 20+ players.
Bullshooters has Gold Crowns and Valley's and the place is huge (51,000 sq ft). But it's hit or miss on what will be going on there.

it all depends on what you are looking for...action, go to kolby's...bullshooters has more tables but less action probably. but i'm sure you can find some action there as it seems like more and more action players are there now...depending on the game you could find some action there

You are staying very close to my office. If you are talking late afternoon, you probably are not going to want to fight traffic down to Tempe to hit up Kolby's.
Closest actual pool room is probably something like RiverCity Pockets. No idea what you'll find in there though. Metro Sportz has bar boxes and 9 gold crowns and you can always find a game. Bullshooters has tons of tables and like Abie said, there are more and more players in there all the time.
Lots of league players out of Bullshooters.
