Plane Jane curly maple 1 piece to brush up on free-handing leather wraps

Been a while since I've done a leather wrap, so I decided to put one on this less than stellar piece of curly maple I had got free with a shipment. Turned out damn nice even for a practice piece.

Got some nice quality leather wraps on order, excited to work with those next.

Going to place an order for a batch of leathers from superior, so waiting to build a little $$ for that! Goat will be in it

The nicer batch I am referring to in the post is a mix of leather from Chris Hightower and I swung by McDermott and grabbed some of their stock they use. It's not nearly as nice and superior's will be, but it's much nicer than the Konnlen brand garbage I put on this cue.
