Bumped into Allison Fischer at the pool hall last night, and we played
a little. A long set of 9-ball went about 50/50 I think, and I took a
couple of games of 8-ball before she had to go (she was a little off
her game - travel fatigue maybe).
Nice lady. Not the Allison Fisher (without the c) you're thinking of,
although she looks like her. This one is a college student from
Wasau, WI with perfect form, a great eye and a pool playing family to
inspire her (her stepfather was a successful road player and her
mother runs a pool hall in Wasau).
She's already an increasingly successful tournament player both in
Wasau and elsewhere, and seems to have the passion, desire and
discipline to have some success.
